The Tara Iti Golf Club is stunning, located on pristine coastline near Mangawhai, north of Auckland. It is heralded as New Zealand's finest golf course and is now ranked 2nd best course in the world by Golf Digest. Hosting international celebrities such as Barack Obama who, along with John Key visited the club in 2018, it is the brainchild of a visionary client. We are proud to have been part of the development from the outset in 2014, through its many successive stages, right through to today. 

The client was seeking an integrated technology solution to encompass control of security, access, environment, lighting and electrical, as well as the latest in entertainment, in multiple locations from an interface on both stationary and mobile devices. This needed to be easy for staff and guests to use, robust and reliable, as well as providing a world class level of functionality that would meet, and hopefully surpass, their exclusive clientele’s expectations. All of this while withstanding the environmental challenges of sand and salt in the spectacular and challenging dune location.

The Tara Iti Clubhouse and Caddy Building were the first building projects, from here we continued working closely with the Architects and Interior Design team to develop solutions for a variety of premium guest accommodation units, the Golf Training Facility, Concierge Building, Gymnasium and the most recently the finely appointed Cottages.   

Working closely with the architects and designers to bring the owners' inspired vision to life, the aim was to create an atmosphere of laid-back luxury nestled in the dunes with full ocean frontage reflecting  as many of the colors, materials and textures that exist in the surrounding nature. In keeping with the natural, earthy design brief, all of the technology, while being state-of-the-art in functionality, had to be hidden from view, just as the buildings themselves needed to be not seen from the beach. 

For everything from engineering security solutions that would ensure clientele's privacy, through to speaker solutions such as teaming up on redesigning the wall-hung tables under TV’s to house and hide the downward facing subwoofer, throughout the project communication and collaboration has been key. It's been a hugely satisfying challenge to be part of creating this award winning development, incorporating the best technologies available, for awesome results time after time.
